Adult literacy and skills training to ladies, enabling them to provide for their households and be encouraged to reach others in their community.

Women from rural areas in Africa are often uneducated or illiterate and therefore unable to generate any form of income. In some cases their husbands are disabled, making them the sole providers of their families. When widowed, they face many obstacles in caring for their children and often extended families. Equipping such women with various skills will enable them to break the poverty cycle and add to their self-worth. Women and young girls who are illiterate or who have been unable to finish their schooling are our main target group.

Tabitha is not only focussed on teaching women skills like adult literacy, catering, beading, knitting and tailoring, but also discipling them as women of God with a heart for global missions. Through Tabitha, God is transforming the lives of many women to where they can provide for their families. Skills development also decreases the vulnerability and likelihood for marginalized women and their children being forced into the sex industry and other forms of slavery.
