Going the distance for the gospel

A Malagasy girl exemplifies dedication to spreading the gospel.

Hanta lives outside Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar, with her farming family. She first became interested in missions when she observed her sister’s devotion to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ in Madagascar.

Hanta plans to participate in the upcoming outreach to Manakara, which will be hosted by OM Madagascar in September. The outreach participants meet every Saturday morning to prepare for this trip. Through these times together the team has realised that Hanta’s decision to participate in the outreach demands a much greater dedication than most; Hanta must walk five hours before catching a bus to finally arrive at the location where the team meets. When they heard this, the OM team were impressed by her courage and love and asked what motivated her to travel such a long distance. She simply said, “I would like to grow in my service for God.”

In addition, as an act of obedience and commitment to her love for Christ, she is attempting to raise support for the outreach by selling some of her ducks. Please pray that God will bless her obedience and will continue to grow her heart for Him.
