Motherly touch

Tema, Ghana :: Logos Hope mom builds relationships with children at nearby orphanage.

“I liked the idea of going there more often and building a relationship with the people,” said Katharina Pieck (Germany) about her day trips to a nearby orphanage. As a mother of three young children on board Logos Hope, participating in week-long overnight teams can be a challenge. That's why Katharina took advantage of her flexible schedule when she heard of this opportunity to share God’s love with other kids over several days. In all, six different teams shared Bible verses, played games and sang songs with the children. Upon Katharina’s fourth visit, her team brought boxes of clothing from children of families on board the ship to give to the children at the orphanage. “It was really because of a relationship that we wanted to help them,” said Katharina.
