Tema, Ghana :: Visitors and crewmembers alike experience a tiring but satisfying weekend.
“You welcomed us very well; we stood in the queue more than four hours but we enjoyed our visit a lot!” said one visitor named Apiah. He was one of almost 18,000 people who visited Logos Hope over the last three opening days in Tema. Crew and staff from different departments came together in one big team effort to make sure things ran smoothly on the quayside and at the gate. While some visitors were of course tired from the wait, overall most everybody was satisfied with the experience. On the last day, Andy Röthgens (Germany) especially enjoyed talking with the kids in the queue. “What really amazed me was their attitude; people were waiting so long, but they were still smiling,” he said.
