Tema, Ghana :: OM Ships and Mercy Ships mutually benefit from long-standing, close relationship.
“I have always thought that having both ships in one would make for an amazing ministry,” said Help Ministries Manager Sandra Fahy (Switzerland). She was part of a group from Logos Hope that went to visit Africa Mercy of Mercy Ships International, berthed in neighbouring Togo. It’s not the first time ships from the two organisations have shared ideas together, and it probably won’t be the last. While OM Ships focuses on knowledge through an onboard book fair and help through practical aid, Mercy Ships is known for surgical healing. In common is the desire to bring hope to the countries they visit. Sandra said the exchange stimulated her thinking on ways to improve the help aspect of Logos Hope, but now realises that one ship just can’t do it all.
