$1,575 [USD] (participants from United States)
M.O.T.M. is a media-minded outreach that provides an oppor-tunity for believers to grow deeper in their faith while using their media skills to bless ministries and missionaries in Africa.
Over the course of two-and-a-half months participants travel throughout southern Africa capturing what God is doing on this continent through video.
Activities include filming, interviewing, photographing, living life alongside the locals, editing, and traveling.
Many of the missionaries in southern Africa have a passion for sharing God’s love and Word with people, but not necessarily the passion or ability to share what God is doing in Africa with rest of the world! Our desire is for people who have a passion for media to film those who have a passion for spreading the Good News.
The cost of M.O.T.M. provides participants with three meals a day, transportation and accommodation while on the outreach. This years M.O.T.M will be in Namibia and Zambia!
If you are passionate about media and are looking to grow deeper in your faith, be discipled and desire to make an impact in God's Kingdom than M.O.T.M. is for you!
Depending on the location, accommodation might be provided in churches, at local people’s homes or in tents.
Participants will live with local missionaries, and, as such, eat what local missionaries eat. At times, there may be opportunity to purchase snacks, but this cannot be guaranteed. You will be notified beforehand if the tap water is safe to drink
Participants must book their own flights in and out of Africa. M.O.T.M. will arrange all travel to/from the airport.
Fly into Windhoek, Namibia (WDH) on the 14th of May.
Fly out of Lusaka, Zambia (LUN) on the 24th of July
Please do not book flights until your OM office has given you the "go ahead"
Participants will be traveling frequently and may be helping through various physical activities. Therefore, they need to be in good health.
Participants are responsible for their own immunizations and malaria medication. Travel doctors will have a good idea of what immunizations are required.
Participants MUST have a valid Yellow Fever card with them.
M.O.T.M. will travel through Southern Africa and it is the re-sponsibility of participants to research beforehand what coun-tries they need to apply for visas for ahead of time and how much it will cost at the borders.
All border fees are to be paid in USD, and as a general rule, it is better to have more money than you need, in case things change.
The cost of M.O.T.M. provides participants with three meals a day, transportation and accommodation while on the outreach.
The cost of M.O.T.M. DOES NOT INCLUDE participant’s travel to and from Africa, personal snacks, accommodation be-fore and/or after M.O.T.M., injections/immunizations, any vi-sa/border crossing fees, or any extra activities.
Different languages will be spoken in different areas, but the language M.O.T.M. will communicate in is English.
After M.O.T.M. has finished, participants have the option to attend the annual Love Africa conference (August 3rd to 6th) in Kabwe, Zambia as part of the audio/visual team. An additional cost (that includes food, accommodation and the Love Africa conference fee) will be announced closer to the time.
