Academic Administrative Secretary

We are looking for an administrative secretary to provide administrative support for the teacher training team at the Teacher Training Centre in Kabwe, Zambia and teachers in the OM community schools in Kabwe. Skills required for this position include excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills, proficiency in typing, telephone, filing and other clerical skills, and a high level of computer literacy.

This is a crucial role and includes a variety of tasks, such as:

  • Receiving, processing, and maintaining applications and student records.
  • Typing correspondence, reports, syllabi, class materials, tests, and other educational materials for faculty in TTC and community schools.
  • Researching, identifying, and compiling information regarding best practices in training teachers and other educational topics.
  • Assisting with accreditation documentation with a high level of accuracy.
  • Working in collaboration with other teaching professionals to raise awareness of the teacher training centre and recruit new candidates.
